Countdown to the Youth Runner Camp

August 4-8th - Mt. Hood Youth Runner Camp

In less than two weeks, we’ll be back in Welches, Oregon at the base of Mt. Hood for the Youth Runner Middle School Camp—one of the best weeks of our year.

🏃‍♀️ Youth Runner Middle School Camp – August 4-8 at Mt. Hood, Oregon! 🏃‍♂️

It’s where young runners come together to learn, grow, and have fun in an inspiring setting. Whether they’ve just wrapped up a long track season or are gearing up for fall cross country, this week is a time to reset, recharge, and leave with a plan.

We’re excited to welcome back legendary Coach Pat Tyson, along with our core coaching team. Throughout the week, campers will learn new skills including how to warm up properly, develop breathing techniques, understand nutrition for young athletes, and how to use a training journal.

Two short runs a day, guest athletes, and a trip up over Mt. Hood for a 9-mile trail run on the Pacific Crest Trail at Timothy Lake. There’s no shortage of fun with swimming, bonfires, capture the flag, and stories they’ll take back to their XC teams. On the last day there is a friendly xc race and some silly awards. About the food, and the smoothie bar, rated 10 out of 10 from past campers.
